Rumah Mak Embun is located in the quiet village of Bukit Larang, in the mukim of Pernu, Melaka. The kampong is just about 5 minutes away from Umbai, the famous gastronomic destination for Ikan Bakar or grilled fish and about 15 minutes away from Bandar Melaka (Melaka City Center).
Once the village was further away and very isolated but now the kampong is served with modern amenities and facilities. Kampung Bukit Larang continues to retain the unique malay kampung nature and tradition that are very much alive and one is naturally free to observe and experience.
If you would like to explore the island of Pulau Besar known for its interesting legends, you can get there by boat from the Umbai / Pernu jetty. The boat trip takes about 20 minutes.
